The foundation of Judd McIlvain’s work as the TV Troubleshooter for several decades was to help consumers fight for their rights. That is why he used his efforts on radio, TV, magazines and his web site to educate consumers about what rights they have, and how to use them.
The goal of the site is to help disseminate information to consumers particularly that helps the elderly, taxpayers, and families who are struggling in our economy today. Its mission is to help educate consumers of all ages about their rights and help protect hard-working people from all types of frauds and scams.
Judd performed his consumer rights duties on TV shows, radio programs, Internet talk shows, syndicated magazine columns, and the Internet that let the consumer help in exposing frauds and scams by sending in notifications. These fraud warnings help every citizen, no matter what their age; keep them from being a victim of financial consumer fraud.
Many times Judd personally investigated a situation to help the consumer fight back. This happened especially in cases of elder financial abuse. Many times elderly citizens were robbed of all their financial resources and then dumped on the street by a con artist. His site was viewed by millions all over the world, and he received calls for help from the Caribbean islands, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Africa, and across the United States. He never missed an opportunity to advocate for the needy and abused, appear at charity events, or counsel students and friends.
Troubleshooter Team Members were like bulldogs when they found out about a fraud and rip-off of our consumer/taxpayers. A 73-year old woman said to Judd, “I would have never done this if I knew it was a rip-off fraud. They took all the money I have to live on for the rest of my life. What can I do?” No one wants to be the victim of fraud. This site aims to alert and advise. Be vigilant is the keyword to remember. And, of course, if it sounds too good to be true, then it most likely is not true and you should run for the hills!
