Child Seat Recall

This recall comes from the Graco Children’s Products Inc in Exton, Pa. The Graco company is recalling 650,000 stand-alone SnugRide infant car seats that will be missing hardware intended to attach the seat to its base.

The Graco company says If the components are missing or misassembled, the carrrier may not be securely attached to the base, and my detach in the event of sudden stop or crash, possible resulting in serious injury or death.

Customers with carriers made in the U S between March 1, 2002, and March 6, 2003, should call (866) 473-0163 for information on how to determine if the hardware is missing, and if so, how to obtain a replacement seat.
Note from Judd: The company is saying this seat does not work, remove it and do not try to fix it or replace parts. Your child’s safety is too important. You are not a seat repair person. Tell them you want a new seat that works, do not take no for an answer!
